The Scottish National Entitlement Card (NEC) is a unique national asset. NEC supports local communities and councils to deliver national and local public services. This is achieved through one easy to use smartcard which is held by 44% of Scotland’s population. NEC recently tendered for a long-term technology partner to consolidate and develop the Scheme with the contract being awarded to ESP Group.
Brenda Robb, Programme Manager of NECPO, said “Renewing ESP Group’s contract makes our relationship stronger. I look forward to working with them to further develop the National Entitlement Card for the benefit of Scotland”
Terry Dunn, CEO of ESP Group said “ESP is proud to have been part of the NEC success story since it was founded in 2003. The new contract allows us to support the NEC to continue this national success story”.
